It was long back, when I was studying in Farook College as an average student, my dad used to tell me that you are a dreamer and nowhere near to reality. At that time, APJ Abdul Kalam visited our college for the inauguration of library, arguably the then biggest in India. His speech was that about dreams and chasing dreams. He taught us that dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts transform into action.
That was an inspiring speech for many, and for me it was speech that helped me counter my dad that “our president himself is the biggest brand ambassador of dreams.” Couple of years later, when life started changing, I had developed a habit of reading contemporary books, instead of fictions. The first book was wings of fire, the autobiography of the biggest dreamer in India and my dreams started getting wings since then. Qualities of dreams make us unique from one another. I started as a journalist in small town and I am serving MNCs as communication strategist in the financial capital of India. It was dream to fly high that takes me to here. Thank you Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam, perhaps you inspired me, perhaps your words inspired me; I don’t know. But your speech at Farook College ground was somewhere in my mind that changed the life. We really miss you.
